This was a really fun project to work on. The purpose was to create a fun, colorful map that gets kids excited to see and show their parents around. I learned about a technique called “masking” while working on this project. Masking is where you take a picture, draw a shape around what part you want to show, select both objects, and press Command 7 (if you are using Mac) which will then hide everything except for the part of the picture that you want.
